MUTASA SATISFIED WITH PROGRESS
13 February 2018
DYNAMOS coach Lloyd Mutasa says he is satisfied with the way his team played against division one sides Mushowani Stars and Buffaloes at Rufaro on Sunday.
“I think it was a good game considering the time, but all the same it can only give us an idea where we should put more focus on.
“I think there was good coordination and combination play but we could not get a goal so it’s an area you know you will play goalless matches,” Mutasa said.
They were beaten 1-0 by Mushowani in the first game and played a goalless draw with Buffaloes in the second game.
“But then you need to get goals. The creativity was there, I am sure in terms of how we are progressing right now it’s coming up ok in terms of the physical aspect.
“We have our next match against our rivals CAPS United. It’s a cup game and there after we are supposed to have another strong match against a big club as well.
“We will take it from there. We will have practice matches during the week.”
Mutasa indicated that he was also protecting some players.
“These youngsters might have one or two injury worries but we wouldn’t want to aggravate them in this hour so it’s a precautionary measure.
“If somebody feels injured you don’t force.”
Valentine Ndaba, who played cameo roles last year, showed flashes of brilliance.
“We looked at him when the season was about to end. Remember we played a friendly match against an Under 19 Highlanders side, that’s when we saw the real Valentine we know.
“From there he never looked back. He made an impression today.
“I think we talked about that and we told him that you know with the way he is working these days, I think he can revive his career,” said Mutasa.
