Mutuma will rescue Nichrut – Boriwondo
27 June 2018
Nichrut captain, David Boriwondo is confident that the inclusion of Rodreck Mutuma in their team will help them achieve their target for this season.
The new comers failed to impress in the first round of the season and they have signed Mutuma from division 1 side Chegutu pirates with hope that he will save the side from relegation.
All eyes are set on Mutuma as the team look forward to escape relegation danger and the team captain believe Mutuma will make a difference with his experience.
“Mutuma played for almost all big teams in the elite league and I believe he is crucial in our team because he is experienced,” Boriwondo told H-Metro.
“Our main weak point in the first round was on scoring goals so; the addition of Mutuma who I believe is a good goal scorer will make it better,” he said.
“Now I am truly confident that we can achieve our target which is to survive relegation,” Boriwondo said.
“Maturity was lacking on our side especially considering that the team in mainly comprised of young players, Mutuma is one of the people who I think will add maturity in the team and besides I like his motivational spirit,” he said.
Boriwondo believes the title race is still open.
“We are no longer by any chance hoping for the championship this season, but I believe the championship is still open, on the upper hand being the 2 platinums,” he said.
