NGEZI Platinum have axed at least seven players to make way for the new signings.

The seven as revealed by H-Metro last week include James Marufu, Innocent Sokosi, Daniel Kamunhenga, Marvelous Emmanuel, Zivanai Mhanda, Talent Chamboko and Kumbirai Kapikinyu.

Qadr Amini, Edgar Mhungu, Xilisani Moyo and Mclive Phiri, Godknows Murwira and Dominic Mukandi were taken on board according to the CAF Confederation Cup squad submitted before deadline on December 31, 2016.

Ngezi are still looking for a striker after the initial target Agrippa Murimba did not appear on the final list.

They are also believed to be still chasing for the signature of Tatenda Mukuruva.

The Chibuku Super Cup champions face Pamplenousses of Mauritius in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

They travel to Mauritius on the weekend of 10-12 February for the first leg. The reverse fixture will be on the weekend of 17-19 February.

Those axed are out of contract while those still contracted to the club are set to be loaned elsewhere.
