Ngezi Platinum Queens coach to stay

NGEZI Platinum Queens coach, Philemon Mangwiro will keep his job after an impressive 2017 Netball Super League finish.
Ngezi finished fifth in a highly contested competition.
In an interview with H-Metro, chairperson of the club, Cleopas Mazorodze confirmed the news.
“Yes the league was very tough. The club had its ups and downs but we managed to cling on to an impressive position. We managed to secure a top six spot and we are happy with that.
“The girls played very well and they did their best. However we are thinking of offloading not more than four players and adding on at least five new players for continual improvement.
“We want to build a strong Madamburo queens hence the need to keep the coach.
“We have players whom we have identified and we are continuing with coach Mangwiro as the head coach,” he said.
On the other side Mangwiro said he is currently reflecting on their previous performances while getting ready for next season.
“As a coach you need to work with people who want to work and discipline is also key in sports.
“I hope with God on my side I will built a monster team again.
Mangwiro is the man behind the success of one of the strongest netball teams, ZRP ‘Mambas’ Team.
Asked on his strategy next year, Mangwiro said: “I want to add a few more players to strengthen some positions.
“I cannot promise championship as yet but I will try and beef up the team, prepare, get ready then go for it. Winning the league will be a bonus,” Mangwiro said.
