SUNDAY Chidzambwa will be praying that the newboys in Warriors set up will come to the party against Namibia after three crucial members were ruled out yesterday.

Ocean Mushure

Ocean Mushure has been ruled-out through a knee injury, Talent Chawapiwa is out as he travels to South Africa today to complete his move to Baroka while defensive midfielder Gerald Takwara failed to recover from flu.

The number adds to Denver Mukamba who was declared AWOL on Wednesday and is ruled out of the CHAN qualifier, second leg tie.

“When Ocean fell in Namibia, we thought it was not serious because he managed to complete the game. But after the game, the knee started swelling and it is certain that he is out of this game. The artificial turf at Sam Nujoma seemed to have affected him a lot,” said manager Wellington Mpandare.

Talent Chawapihwa

“Takwara also failed to recover from the flu and is out of the game along with Talent who is travelling to South Africa. We really do not have the details on when he is coming back so he is out of our plans.”

The absence of Mushure is a big blow for coach Mhofu who had planned to play the Dynamos captain as a left midfielder while Honest Moyo, Milton Ncube or Devine Lunga is played on the left back.

Gerald Takwara

Talent on the other hand has proved he has ability to change the game single-handedly and the Warriors need such a magician to turn the tables on a Namibian side that took a 1-0 lead from the reverse fixture.

Takwara provided great shield for the central defence in South Africa where the Warriors were crowned champions of Cosafa.

Yesterday the Warriors were given a break in the morning and played a training game in the afternoon which was not open for the media.
