16 January 2018
SONGSTRESS Pah Chihera is bringing back the winning formula which saw her topping charts with hits such as Runonzi Rudo.
The singer has formed an alliance with chanter Tocky Vibes and Terry Africa which has since yielded desired results.
She rose to prominence with the duet Runonzi Rudo with Prince Kuda Musarurwa who is currently in the United States of America before taking a hiatus.
The trio came up with Sarura Wako which had an accompanying video which managed to hold its own.
Pah Chihera went on to release another single Kangoma with Terry Africa which was also accompanied by a video which has been accepted by their legion of fans.
“I’m happy with the response so far. People are appreciating our work and this is just the tip of an iceberg. More is coming,” she said.
“I have worked well with Tocky and Terry and I’m happy that people are appreciating our work. This is enough to boost our confidence and come up with more productions,” she said.
Pah Chihera is currently working on another single titled What featuring Tocky Vibes and set for release on Valentine’s Day.
“This is a love song and this the theme that has always been in my music. What is a duet with Tocky and will be released on Valentine’s Day,” she said.
The songstress who is now a mum to a daughter said this is a year to regenerate her winning formula, saying more is coming.
She has landed a role of marketing manager at PropaBless Studios.
“Last year I was enjoying the joy of motherhood, taking care of my little girl, seeing her growing. She has grown and I can now focus on my work. Not that it was a burden or a hindrance but a choice. I’m currently working as a marketing manager at PropaBless studios,” she said.
She is hoping to have collaborations with other musicians from the region.
“There are a lot of projects coming and hopefully some will be featuring other musicians from the African continent,” she said.
After Runonzi Rudo, Pah Chihera came up with Mbavha Yerudo and a host of singles with several artistes among them Ras Caleb, Quonfuzed and many others.
She performed in and out of the country.
“I did several projects only that some were not properly marketed. I did some duets with Prince, he is family and by the time we wanted to do videos he went to America where he is right now.
“This year, a lot of things are going to change. More work on my career and this is my message to all followers,” she said.
