Paradzai Mesi disappoints on return to Harare

MUSICIAN Paradzai Mesi came drunk and struggled to stamp his authority on stage.
He even tried to impose his budding guitarist son which didn’t go well with merry makers and he had to cut the boy’s cameo role to save the situation.
The young boy, however, proved his pedigree with some quality displays on stage.
In spite of his drunken stupor, Mesi proved he still has some music class in him and thanked show organisers for giving him a platform to perform.
“I’m still on my way to full recovery but I believe with such support from fans and promoters we will get back to our feet,” said Mesi.
Show promoter David Mudzudzu said it was unfortunate that Mesi continued to be a victim of excessive drinking but he will do his best to support him.
“Mesi is gifted but it seems he continues to struggle with his drinking and that almost ruined his show. We will however continue to support him till he fully rediscovers the formula that made him a darling of many,”Mudzudzu said.
Merry makers thronged the popular open door entertainment joint in spite of the chilly weather spell that affected Harare and other parts of Zimbabwe.
