Peter Moyo unveils clothing line
16 June 2017
Sungura musician Peter Moyo has unveiled a new clothing line, Dewa Musik, which he is already flaunting on social media.
He said the main idea behind the label is to create a bond with his fans.
The musician will also use it as a way to market his projects including albums.
For instance, the available outfits are inscribed Dewa Musik on front and Mopao Mokonzi – his current album – at the back.
“This is trending, a number of musicians worldwide are doing it. We’ve also football fans wearing shirts of various footballers.
“However, my clothing line will not have my name but the brand I represent – Dewa Musik,” said Peter.
The Kurera Haisinyore singer said the outfits are available on different designs depending with the season.
“So far we’ve tracksuits because it’s winter but fans can get whatever they want,” he added.
Peter said fans are also free to have their names on the outfits although the label – Dewa Musik – takes precedence on front.
“They can get the outfits at our shows at favourable prices or come and make orders with our management.
“We can as well put their names on the outfits though Dewa Musik will take precedence,” he said.
Locally there are other musicians who have adopted the idea with Jah Prayzah leading the pack with his JP and MTM labels.
Meanwhile, the Utakataka Express leader is happy with the endorsement of his new album.
Music critics and fellow musicians, among them revered entertainer Alick Macheso, have showered praises on Peter.
“The album is doing well and the response is encouraging,” he said.
