Prophet seeks forgiveness

A prophet from a local apostolic sect who is in prison over stock theft charges is seeking forgiveness from his congregants for not leading by example.
Prophet Gilbert Zimunya said his heart bleeds for his congregants whom he knows were disturbed after he was arrested for buying stolen goats.
“My wife and I have been in the habit of buying goats which we were fully aware that they were stolen and we would resell them.
“We were both recently arrested but I thank God that she is now free though I am still here.
“My only worry now is my church members who were looking up to me over their spirituality.
“I was supposed to lead by example and I know all of them never expected this from me so I am just praying that they will not lose their faith because of me.
“I am sincerely seeking forgiveness from them and I pray that I will not lose a single one of them from our church,” he said.
Though he is in prison, the man of cloth said he was happy that he was also doing missionary work in prison.
“We are not allowed to perform miracles here in prison but I am happy that I have got the chance to preach the gospel here.
“This is an opportunity which could not have come my way if I had not had this experience,” he said.
