WARRIORS’ striker Evans Rusike says he is disappointed to miss the back-to-back encounters against DRC in the AFCON qualifiers next week.
Rusike said he is already looking past this setback.
“It’s really hard that l am going to miss this match. But these kind of things happen in this industry of ours.
“It’s just a setback but l will be well soon and the injury is not that bad though l will be out for four weeks,” he said.
The SuperSport United star, who picked up an injury on Saturday, reckons that Zimbabwe has enough quality and his absence won’t affect the team.
“I think that if anyone is called for national team duty it means that they need you.
“But l think we have enough quality to get us positive results in these two games that l will be absent,” he said.
“DRC have already shown us that it’s going to be a tough match with their selection of them.
“They are a good side and so are we.
“I just want to rally behind the boys and say let’s go fight and get a good result. I also want to urge everyone to support our nation.
“I believe in the team and l know that we can do this.”
