‘She refused to wash my clothes’

A CITY man who was dragged to Harare Civil court by his ex-girlfriend claimed that their relationship was based on sex.
Bernard Tapera said that he introduced Mafaida Suwardi to his relatives but she failed to partake her duties as his girlfriend.
“I apologised to her for my actions, but the problem which led to our separation was that she was refusing to wash my clothes.
“I asked her to visit my house on a weekend and help me to wash my laundry but she failed.
“She only comes to my house after working hours and we start having sex. Our relationship was all about sex,” Tapera said.
In response, Suwardi who sought for a protection order, said:
“I want him to stop calling me, insulting me and coming to my workplace.
“He calls me continuously to the extent that I switch off my phone and whenever I switch it on he will start calling non-stop.
“He is my ex-boyfriend. He should stop pestering me.”
Presiding magistrate Amanda Muridzo granted the protection order in Suwardi’s favour.
