Sniper Storm turns to Jiti

DANCEHALL artiste, Sniper Storm – real name Donald Chirisa – has added a jiti flair in his new single titled Love Yangu.


The refreshing single off the Love Yemusoja’s forth-coming album universal Soldier, was released last week and is already getting airplay from various radio stations.

In an interview, Sniper Storm said:

“It has been my dream to do something on a Jiti beat.

“We grew up listening and seeing people get down to it whenever there were gatherings and it is a sound that made people very excited and joyous and so that picture has never faded away hence me recording on Jiti beauty.

“The new single is a love song but most importantly it’s a celebration of our traditional music.”

He added:

“The album is going to be something to look out for in a few months to come, dancehall massive should expect good music to their ears.”

The “General” also dismissed news that he has faded.

“No, Sniper Storm is still in the game and is going nowhere. That’s all I can say and I will leave the rest for my music to do the talking.”

Sniper had released other albums like Ghetto Gospel in 2010, Salute the General in 2011, Attention in 2012, Dong Feng in 2013 and Silver Bullet in 2014.
