Socialite set free

SOCIALITE Vimbai Tanyanyiwa has been set free after the man who hauled her to court for smashing his phone decided to withdraw the case.
Vimbai was taken to the Harare magistrates’ court by her former lover Clive Mudzengerere who was complaining that Vimbai smashed his smart phone worth US$250.
This was after Vimbai suspected that Clive was having an affair with another woman.
Clive decided to withdraw the matter which was set to be heard before magistrate Tafadzwa Muvhami.
Circumstances leading to Vimbai’s arrest were that on December 23 last year at around 1pm, Vimbai and Clive went to Highlands Police Station after picking up a misunderstanding.
It is said that the dispute erupted after Vimbai reportedly discovered that Clive was having an affair with another woman.
The two reportedly approached the police in a bid to get counselling but their efforts allegedly yielded nothing.
Reports are that Vimbai was in possession of Clive’s phone during the time they visited the police station.
After their efforts to resuscitate their ‘soaring’ relationship hit a snag, Clive reportedly asked Vimbai to give him back his phone.
But she denied before smashing it on the floor whilst they were still in the charge-office at Highlands Police Station, it is alleged.
