SOUTH Korea ambassador to Zimbabwe Cho Jaichel yesterday paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Sport, Arts and Recreation Raymond Kazembe Kazembe.

The meeting, meant to strengthen relations between Zimbabwean and Korean sporting fraternity, saw the two parties coming up with an agreement to work together for development.
Honourable Kazembe promised to organise friendly football matches between Zimbabwe and South Korea’s national teams.
“I am glad to hear that ambassador Jaichel is a soccer fanatic, actually we do have a lot in common as far as sport is concerned.
“For that reason, in future we should have friendly matches between our countries.
“The matches should be for both women and men’s teams. I would be glad to include the girl child if resources permit, because it is also our thrust to support our women football,” he said.
The South Korean ambassador promised to bring a Taekwondo master to train Zimbabwean athletes.
“I am very happy to have this meeting with the minister of Sport, Arts and Recreation.
“I believe we do have a lot to learn from each other, I am promising to bring a Taekwondo master from my country to come and teach the Zimbabwean community.
“We will come up with programmes to benefit football in Zimbabwe, hopefully we will consider winter games if it permits,” Ambassador Jaichel said.
