WARRIORS defender Jimmy Tigere says the road to the COSAFA Castle Cup knockout stage will not be easy despite the easy start.

Zimbabwe thumped Mozambique 4-0 in their Group B opener on Monday while Madagascar beat the Seychelles 2-0 with only the top side going through.

The Harare City defender does not want to be carried away by Monday’s overwhelming performance in the group opener.

Tigere partnered Ajax Cape Town defender Eric Chipeta at the heart of defense and they managed to keep a clean sheet.

“We played well. As a defender, nothing pleases me more than keeping a clean sheet. A win capped my day. It was a big one for that matter considering the goals we scored. For now, we don’t have to celebrate too much because things change fast in football.

“We have other matches to play and we should not underrate the other two opponents and we have to avoid humiliation.”
