Trial date set for Tyson

The trial of former cabinet minister Saviour Kasukuwere is set to run from October 29 to November 2.
Kasukuwere, who was dumped by top lawyer Jonathan Samkange, is now being represented by Advocate Charles Chinyama.
Kasukuwere is being charged with four counts of criminal abuse of office and three of the counts are alleged to have been committed when he was Minister of Housing and Local Government.
The fourth count was allegedly committed when he was the Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment in which he allegedly corruptly awarded a tender to a company called Brainworks Capital.
Kasukuwere was released on $3000 bail together with other stringent conditions such as reporting two times a day at Borrowdale Police Station.
He made an application for relaxation of bail conditions which will be heard today.
