TUG-OF-WAR FOR MUZONDIWA
5 January 2017
OUT of contract striker Brian Muzondiwa has attracted interests from former champions CAPS United and Chicken Inn.
The Gamecocks are seeking to add depth to their team while CAPS United are desperate for new good players as they rebuild the team.
Yesterday the player’s agent, Gibson Mahachi, confirmed that the striker was looking for a new home but not yet decided on which club to join.
“His contract with FC Platinum expired so he is now available. Yes, there are a number of clubs that have shown interest but a decision is yet to be made. I will give a position when we have a decision,” he said.
Muzondiwa played a cameo role for the better part in the past two years, as coach Norman Mapeza opted for other strikers.
The arrival of two foreign strikers at FC killed any hopes the striker had of renewing his contract.
A source close to the player said it could be any club between CAPS and Chicken Inn. Dynamos technical team is also understood to be interested in the player.
“CAPS United and Chicken Inn are more serious in taking the player on board and they have made enquiries. It will now depend on which offer is better or where the player wants to go,” said the source.
