Watora Mari stage chaos explained
7 December 2016
MUSIC promotional company 2 Kings Entertainment said they have learnt a lesson from the chaotic scenes that marred the stage during the Watora Mari Concert.
The stage was invaded when Jah Prayzah came on stage and the disorder did not go well with other show goers who registered their disapproval through social media.
The situation got worse when Diamond Platnumz came on stage that you could not separate band members from fans.
Some of the people who were on stage include flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo who was accompanied by Chief Jose and Pokello.
2 Kings Entertainment spokesperson Dee Nosh spoke on the ‘disorder’ and said that will not happen again.
“Those people were in the VVIP section but the section ended up overcrowded and we had no option but to allow those few people to go on stage.
“Their section was initially reserved for 20 people but we ended up having more than 50 people there.
We ran out of tickets and tags but it is something that we will rectify for our next show,” said Dee Nosh.
“That will not happen again. We also don’t want such situations whereby the stage is overcrowded; we actually don’t allow people who are not part of the band on stage.
“So we want to apologise to those who were offended and we promise a smooth event,” he added.
Meanwhile, 2 Kings will be hosting Jah Cure on December 16 at the same venue, HICC.
