We were unlucky: Mushure
3 April 2017
DYNAMOS captain Ocean Mushure believes they were unlucky to fall against FC Platinum.
He believes the 1-0 defeat at National Sports stadium will not destabilise the new-look side in the next matches.
DeMbare coach Lloyd Mutasa had four league debutants in his first match for the season but failed to get the desired results.
Despite dominating the first half and creating the better chances, Dynamos allowed FC Platinum to score a goal from the spot right at the end of the first half.
Winston Mhango converted after Gift Saunyama had handled in the box.
“He handled but he was outside the box. It is such decisions sometimes that affect the game and we could not recover from that.
“But if you saw, we were playing very well. We just could not get the result that we needed. We should not think this has made us a poor team. We remain a very good side, “said Mushure.
Saunyama, Lincoln Zvasiya, Emmanuel Mandiranga and Quality Kangadze had their debut on a day FC Platinum used more of their experience to grind a result.
Kangadze was guilty of missed chances in the first half as DeMbare tried to get an early opener to settle the nerves.
“All the new guys played very well. There was no indication as to who was the new player. So we are good enough to compete, “said Mushure.
“We have been playing friendly games together and the only difference was that this was a league match. So everyone is doing very well and believe we will recover as a team.”
In the second half DeMbare took the game to FC Platinum.
It didn’t change the script and for the second time in two seasons since Mutasa took charge at Dynamos, they lost a home league game.
They suffered the same fate last season, losing by the same scoreline.
Mushure believes little details yesterday cost them the match.
“We were not happy with some of the decisions made and at the end of the day, they make a lot of difference, ” he said.
