30 November 2016
DANCEHALL star Winky D has been roped in as part of the supporting acts for visiting Jamaican chanter Jah Cure.
Jah Cure will be performing at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on December 16 and the organisers, 2 Kings Entertainment, told H-Metro Monday that the Ninja president will also be performing.
“We’ve engaged some local acts for the Jah Cure gig and Winky d is part of them,” said Dee Nosh.
“There is also Judgment Yard and Templeman and Garry B and we’re assuring fans another memorable show.
“Winky D rarely disappoints and we decided that he should be part of this big show,” he added.
This will be Winky D’s first time to share stage with an international act since the release of his album Gafa Futi.
The album carries songs like Twenty Five, Gafa Party, Bob Marley Funeral and Happiest Man among others and most of them are having good rotation on airwaves.
“Winky D will be sharing the stage with an international act for the first time since the release of his album.
“We’re also quite sure that he will use this as an opportunity to take his new music to a huge crowd through performance.”
Jah cure has confirmed his visit to Zimbabwe through a video on his social media platforms and the response has been overwhelming.
