Zim chanters off to UK

POPULAR Zim dancehall promoter and wheel-spinner, Simbarashe “Bodyslam” Chakare, will depart for the United Kingdom along with an array of chanters for a series of shows this weekend.
Local chanters Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Hwindi Prezident, Skimbo, Shinsoman and Da Ruler are part of the entourage set to hold a number of shows in Luton, Leicester and another venue to be advised.
The local contingent will be hosted by UK based wheel-spinner Alfred Nenguwo and Jah Hanief.
Not to be outdone are seasoned wheel-spinners MC Rego and DJ Ru who are also part of the bill.
In an interview, Bodyslam said:
“Hwindi President left on Sunday for the UK and I will be travelling on Tuesday (today) alongside Killer T, Soul Jah Love and Shinsoman.
“We are simply promising our best performance and the tour is part of our Madirirano movement.
“We are taking the concept to the UK having having started it on home soil.”
“We are simply promising our best for our fans.
“We are also holding the no to domestic violence during the tour and we want this ‘cancer’ to be stopped.”
Bodyslam has also promised UK based fans his clothing line which comes in form of T-shirts, caps and jackets.
After the UK tour, Bodyslam takes the Madirirano tour across the Limpopo where he is billed to hold a series of shows before year end.
Bodyslam has been hailed for promoting the Zim dancehall movement beyond our borders where chanters have also opened new avanues.
